The marriage certificate is a document that states the proof of your marriage. It says that two individuals are married to each other. It includes some important information such as the name of the couple, Date of the marriage, Time of the marriage, place of marriage, and the presence of an authorized person at the time of marriage.

Marriage Certificate attestation means proving the authenticity and genuineness of the document so that the document is viable for use in a foreign land. The document is attested by the chain of departments regulated by government institutions and legal forums. At each level, the marriage certificate is checked, stamped, sealed, signed, and then finally attested.

Procedure for attesting a marriage certificate in Qatar:

· State Notary public Attestation is the first level of attestation.

· Followed by the attestation of the parent country.

· The marriage certificate is submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

· Attestation from the concerned department such as the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Health

· Concerned embassy Attestation

· The final Attestation is done by the MOFA.
